-What advice would you give to a business wanting to be a good corporate citizen to help them understand that it means more than donations or associating with social causes?

-What argument would you make (in a discussion), about why charity association or donations does not, necessarily, make an organization ethical or fulfil it's responsibilities to society?

-Given the businesses are supposed to maximise returns to shareholders (that's what you expect as a shareholder), should management even be giving away profits (money that should go to shareholders) to charity? Is that a breech of their responsibility to shareholders? Isn't that the responsibility of governments who have a more holistic view of what societal issues are most important and therefore where money would have the greatest benefit to wellbeing? Please share your thoughts on this, incorporating your new ethical knowledge.
