Continued Case Study - MC presents to the emergency department, transported by EMS, today with complaints of shortness of breath and worsening cough. Since her last visit 6 days ago, MC states that her pain has increased. MC can be seen using her accessory muscles while breathing and audible wheezing is heard.

Current Vital Signs: T 99.6, R 27, BP 146/79, HR 125, SPO2 87 % on room air. Finger stick blood glucose level is 199 mg/dL. MC is observed in the emergency department for 23 hours and discharged back home with home health once her breathing was stabilized. During this visit, she qualified for home oxygen therapy and was sent home on oxygen at 2 LPM via nasal cannula.
