Question: Evey is a compex character. Initially helpless and dependent upon men for protection, Evey transforms, by the end of V for Vendetta, into a figure of power and freedom. Along the way though she finds herself in many situations that combine disempowerment with (often sexual) victimization. Does this pattern of victimization detract from her strength as a character?
