Does the world or Camazotz from A Wrinkle in Time prove or contradict Pope Francis' statement, meaning under the all-encompassing power of IT, is that world more secure, more able to provide for the common welfare or is the reality IT has created merely proof of the error Francis' is saying that security and welfare do not increase alongside the growth in power?

This question can be answered either way, depending on how you approach it and how you feel about this somewhat alien world. There are examples of security, welfare, usefulness in the world of Camazotz and as described by IT. It can also be argued, as Pope Francis likely would, that all this power in the hands of IT has produced a world that does not exhibit these qualities and this is a world where power is not used as it should and people, focused on immediate needs (like perfection) and self interest, are not more secure, truly useful, vigorous, or experiencing true welfare.
