Question: Sharon made a reservation at the Mexican restaurant "Hernando's Hideaway" to meet some friends who she hadn't see for a while. Her friends arrived on time and Sharon got up to greet them. While Sharon was standing close by, a waiter carelessly spilt a tray of drinks onto Sharon's expensive suede jacket and matching handbag, which she left on her seat. The drinks were margaritas and Sharon had not protected the suede material on either item. Both the jacket and handbag were damaged significantly. When she complains to the restaurant manager, he directs Sharon's attention to a sign on the wall that states:

'This restaurant takes no responsibility for goods lost, damaged or stolen'.

Sharon didn't notice the sign when she walked in because of the small text on the sign and the fact that it was obscured by a large cactus.
