Assignment: Research paper goal is to describe a global corporation Amazon and it's contemporary issues from the past 8 years or between 2010 - present.

Your research paper should reflect the human aspects in Amazon organization and reflect the Organizational behavior concepts . Other concepts should be kept to a minimum (e.g. we are not looking for financial forecasts, break-even analysis, or product line-ups). Research paper should not be focused on economic growth or economic strategy of the company but the main focus on the organisational behavior of the company.

Research the following topics and include your findings in your project:

• General information: mission statement, types of products, latest revenues and profits/loss, the locations of headquarter and plants, numbers of workers/employees and so on. This section should be short and relate to the culture and people of the organization.

• Organization structures: How is the organization organized and managed? Any information on leadership, motivation, employee training/development, appraisals/promotion, dismissals, and others.

• Contemporary issues: Contemporary issues will vary depending on the organization. Look up and down the supply chain for issues.

Check various types of search engines - you will find things in legal databases that you will not find in Google. Keep in mind where the information is coming from; some of your sources will be biased and you need to acknowledge this in paper. The following is not an exhaustive list of issues, but is a good jump off:

• Does the organization promote intercultural relations? How?

• Does the organization have employee assistance programs? Explain.

• Any cases/news on discrimination, sexual harassment, and workplace violence?

• Are the organization's employees part of Unions? How does it work? Current situation of the union in the organization.

• Does the organization lead on innovative products/process? Explain.

• What are the keys to successful changes in the organization (change management)?

The final product will include written assignment and a recorded presentation. The written assignment, approximately 15-20 pages without COVER PAGE (double space, TN 12), should be presented in a professional manner; well written, well edited and well organized. Your paper should have a cover page, table of contents, and references. This paper must follow the APA style, 6th edition.
