"Is The Pianist History or Hollywood?" In other words, can the movie be used to learn about The Holocaust, The Warsaw Uprising, and the experience of Jewish people in Nazi-occupied parts of Europe during the Holocaust. You must have additional sources cited from your own, independent research.

B. Does the film accurately portray The Holocaust?
C. Does the film accurately portray The Warsaw Uprising?
D. Does the film accurately portray the experience of Jewish people in Nazi-occupied parts of Europe during the Holocaust?
E. How does the film portray the period and events? Give at least two examples.
F. How does the film's portrayal of the event or time period compare to what you have learned about this moment in history (based on the sources we analyzed in class, as well as any outside research you have done.)
G. Based on your research, to what extent is the film historically accurate? You MUST refer to your research when discussing this issue. Identify specific accuracies and the director's liberties with the film. Consider the following: When and where was the movie set? If several locations were used, were they all depicted realistically? How long of a time span did it cover? Were the houses, furnishings, foods, tools, music, weapons, clothes, hairstyles, shoes, etc. shown with accuracy? Give examples of period props or specific scenes you think are especially well or especially poorly presented.
