Past studies indicate that the temperature of the human body is normally distributed with standard deviation of 0.11 degrees Celsius. A pharmaceutical company conducts a study about effects of its new blood-pressure drug. A part of the study is to measure the temperature of participants prior to, and an hour after the drug was administered. The study was conducted on 47 volunteers and the average temperatures before and after taking the drug were 36.82 and 36.79 degrees Celsius, respectively.
