There are four factors that have contributed to transnational organization are "globalization, increased number and heterogeneity of immigrants, and improved communication technology, weak government." (Gaines, L., Kremling, J., Kappeler, V., 2019. p. 178). These four factors make it so much easier for transnational organized crime to occur. Before the days of the internet and cell phones it must have been much more difficult to organize crime rings around the world. These advances in technology allow them to recruit new members, stay connected within the organization and assist in planning.
