One question that frequently comes up among climate scientists and teachers is "Does learning about climate change matter?" That is, "do people actually change their behavior when they have learned something about climate change?". A study that took place in Germany indicates that increasing people's awareness of climate change does NOT appear to translate in to changes in their behavior. But what the study's authors did find is that increased awareness about climate change manifested itself as changes in policy -- mainly through voter behavior. I'm wondering what you think. This was a study in Germany. How might this be different in the U.S. where we have a much larger population and a different political system? Please discuss and then reply to someone else's post.
