Charlie Chow is a partner at Chow Enterprise, LLP ("Chow"), a business consulting firm with offices in Olympia, WA, Seattle, WA and Bellingham, WA. Charlie is a managing partner of Chow and direct supervisor of Jad Serious, a junior consultant at Chow. Charlie tells Jad that retention and promotion depends on whether he is seen as a "team player" who is "loyal" and "subordinate." Charlie regularly criticizes Jad for failing to "maintain proper social decorum". Charlie dislikes Jad's clothing.

Each Friday, for the past several months, Charlie has taken Jad to dinner at a local club. The conversations have always been professional, but Jad feels uncomfortable due to the amount of "touching" that happens during dinner (e.g., Charlie's hand lingers on Jad's each time documents are passed from one person to the next, at the end of dinner Charlie gives Jad a brief hug, etc.). In addition, at least once per week, Charlie slaps Jad on the back and says "You seem like a fun guy. We really should get together for a weekend. I have a great fishing cabin out by Antilon Lake." Jad politely rejects Charlie's invitations.

Neither Charlie nor Jad have spoken of their sexuality. However, it is widely believed within the firm that Charlie identifies as a homosexual.

At the end of Jad's first year with Chow, Charlie dismisses Jad for "failing to maintain proper decorum". Jad sues Charlie and Chow. In his lawsuit, Jad claims sex and sexual orientation discrimination as well as hostile workplace discrimination in violation of Title VII and RCW 49.60.30. Answer the following questions:
