Question

Why is it beneficial for you as an individual to understand basic chemistry? Alas we have wine club this evening. I am a super taster....... are you? But more troubling is that I do not process alcohol ............. genetically I just do not handle it well. Since I do not drink as much as the other wine tasters in our group, I think I get shorted and pay to much. What do you think? Or do I actually get a cheaper "buzz"? Does cooking involve knowledge of chemistry? What are some food items that can be substituted for eggs and are they similar in molecular structure?
