DQ1 : a) Discussion: Sustainable Business Practices Search the internet for a company (any company except the one that is the focus of our case study) that claims to use sustainable business practices. Describe its practices. Does the company mention all three components of the triple bottom line? Are any operations functions specifically used as part of its sustainability strategy? Do you feel the company is honestly reporting its practices and goals, or do you suspect any "green-washing?"

DQ2 : a) Discussion: ERP Implementation Many companies implement enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems but are disappointed by the results when they do not realize the return on investment (ROI) that was projected for the system. Do some research and post an example of either a successful or failed ERP implementation at a major company. How did it (or did it not) standardize processes across the firm? Explain what the major causes were for the success or failure of the system. If you have worked for a company that has an ERP system, you may choose to post about the effectiveness of that particular ERP system.

DQ3 : a) Discussion: Integration In this lesson, we discuss the importance of integrating sales and operations. This idea of integrated management is indeed a key tenet of supply chain and operations management practices today. Summarize the ways through which sales and operations planning can be integrated. Then, extend your findings to additional supply chain management processes that you feel could be better integrated. Which two (or more) processes did you integrate? Why and how?

DQ4 : a) Discussion: Favorite and Least-Favorite Topics Throughout this course, you have learned that operations management is not just about managing a manufacturing floor, but that operations can be found in every organization-and effectively managing those operations is critical to an organization's long-term success. We have covered a wide breadth of material in this course.
