Problem: I've decided to explore research administration of a grant cycle with a foreign component. I'm learning that having a foreign component by its definition is not just based on whether or not there are funds exchanged. Foreign components have additional requirements than a domestic subaward. For example, there is specific written language that is required when agreeing to work together prior to the grant being awarded which needs to be included in the application. Prime institutions are required to ensure that it gets included. I'm struggling with the title and if I should focus on compliance, the financial aspects or both. Does anything one think that I should do one over the other?
