Question: Pt is a 61 yr old Hispanic female, A&O x4, NKA, full code, presents with ? right upper abdominal pain that started at work 3 days ago after eating a hamgburger. VS are HR 98, RR 20, BP 148/90, Temp 98.3F, Sp02 96% on RA. Pt is noted to be in the fetal position on the exam table. She rates pain at 8/10 which increases with any oral intake and radiates to her right shoulder. Accompanying nausea and vomiting x4 is reported. She denies current treatment or relief of pain with position changes. Abdomen is round and tender to the RUQ only. Respirations are unlabored. Skin is warm, dry and intact.
