Learning Activity: How Organisations Attract Employees?
Think of a well-known organisation in an industry you have or would like to work in. Conduct some research into how they attract and recruit potential employees and what they might be like to work for. Some suggestions include:
Visit their website and search the career page
Search LinkedIn for their company page
Find a job they have advertised recently - possibly on seek.com.au or a similar job site
You might know someone who works there and could ask them how they recruit
Research reviews from past employees on Glassdoor
Now answer the following questions:
Who was your chosen organisation and why?
Do you think they would be a good organisation to work for - why or why not?
What does your research tell you about their organisational culture and how they treat their employees?
How could they improve their ability to attract potential employees?
