Across the globe, massacres of innocent people by terrorist groups and/or individuals (i.e. schools, houses of worship, movie theaters) fill the news and social media. It is well known that publicizing these crimes fuels an increase in these atrocities. The homicide rate in the U.S. is FIVE TIMES that of China. Keeping that in mind, do you think there is some merit in China's censorship methods? Might the United States be better off if their government controlled social media and other news sources so that only information deemed to be in the best in interest of society was made public?
