Question: Servant leadership really is the best model of leadership that inspires employees to work harder from what I have seen in my experience. I have worked for good leaders and for bad leaders and seen what type of employee that creates for a company. Even if an employee has the best intentions of working hard, climbing the ladder, and providing everything they can to a company, bad leadership will destroy that drive very quickly. Where I have seen this is usually in an environment of "this is how things have been done and this is how they will continue to be done." This mindset is not popular because it does not encourage growth but could instead punish those who are trying to provide improvements. Do you think that it is possible to change this type of leadership style towards more of a servant leadership type? At what level within a company do you think that change needs to be enacted for it to take hold? Could it start from the bottom, or do you think it needs to trickle down from the top?
