Most often classroom management is code for the discipline plan used by the teacher instead of the organization plan used to structure the learning in the classroom. Key differences between a discipline plan and a classroom management plan is a discipline plan is centered around rules and controlling how students behave in a classroom with negative consequences. A classroom management plan is the procedure plan for how things are accomplished or completed in the classroom and creates a predictable routine which includes student responsibility.
