The bad news -- cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the number one killer in America. The good news -- many of the risk factors for the development of CVD are controllable. Why do you think people continue to engage in 'risky' behavior (smoking, not exercising, eating 'bad' food, etc.?) Do you think that people are unaware of the risks OR that people understand the risks, but choose to ignore them (or use 'bargaining' tools or excuses...) What do you think?
