Theory: Solution Focused Therapy Presenting Problem: Olivia is a 15-year-old girl living at home with her father and her three younger siblings. Olivia's parents are no longer together as her mother left the family when she fell in love with another man. The only contact she has with her mother is the occasional birthday or holiday card. Her mother is a traveling nurse and makes good money while her father is working two jobs to try to makes ends meet for the family. Olivia doesn't see her dad much because he works full time seven days a week. Her mother does not contribute to the family financially even though she makes twice as much has her father. Olivia is tasked with taking care of her 3 younger siblings. She cooks, cleans, and helps them with their homework. Olivia's father is proud of her for her ability to take care of the home and of her siblings and Olivia feels that pressure to succeed in those roles from her father.
