Looking back on my own elementary and secondary schooling, most of what I learned on a memorization basis has long been forgotten. It was the engaging lectures that I remember most. With this in mind, I believe that we as educators can teach for the test, but it has to be done in a way that is going to be memorable. From the beginning of time, storytelling has been a great tool for teaching. I think telling stories, for whatever the subject, can be a helpful tool to assist students in their learning. Do you think incorporating storytelling into your curriculum for your subject area can help teach your students?
