They should tell you the old sayings "If it is not broken, don't fix it" is not what a business leader should have done. The process improvements go on and we always challenge the future.

However, do you think Ford made their decisions lightly? Do you think they can afford making decisions without analyses? No, of course not. One of the major factors in buying a heavy truck is oil price. When oil price is high, people think twice before they spent money buying heavy trucks. Just because oil price is cheaper today does not guarantee cheap oil for years to come. Therefore, it makes sense to perform analysis on relationship between truck sales and oil price fluctuations. That is the relationship built by regression analysis. Please share your thoughts.
