Alexandria and I were asked to focus on employee development, but I don't understand why we're putting time, money, and effort into our current employees when we could focus on acquiring new talent. Do you think employee development is really worth it? Not really. I agree with you. It's more effective and affordable to just look for new talent, but we've got to do what we're told! There's not much of a difference in cost or effectiveness when it comes to training current talent and hiring new talent. It just depends on a company's goals. Absolutely. It's usually better and cheaper to retain and train our current employees than it is to hire new employees.
