Case: For this week's discussion, I'm suspending the initial post by Thursday requirement. I want for you all to be able to get in and try out creating GUIs in Visual Studio prior to responding to this discussion thread - though you're more than welcome to post as early in the week as you'd like.
This week, we're looking a little more in depth at the Visual Studio (VS) Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and the creation of Graphic User Interfaces (GUIs). What is your opinion of VS so far? For those who've used other IDEs before, such as Python's IDLE or something like Code::Blocks (often used for C and C++ programing), do you prefer this to the others? If you've used VS before, have you learned anything from this course so far about its usage?
Once you've laid out some GUIs, what do you think about the ability to layout and build GUIs? If you have any experience building GUIs in other languages (such as Java or Python), do you prefer laying out with VS? Or, using the other methods? Is there anything you would like to see in VS that you feel is missing?
