Question: Tell us a little about your experiences in giving, presenting, writing speeches. Do you have any past experiences that you wish to share whether good or bad? What helped you overcome nervousness? What tools did you utilize to give the speech?

Experience: My sisters Eulogy and service, giving it by myself.

Example: I was asked to give the Eulogy at my Mother's funeral. Even though I was a teacher and used to being in front of people, the thought of speaking about my Mother in front of my family and her friends was terrifying. I sent what I had written to my sister and asked her to critique what I had to say. She added a few things, took away a few things and reminded me that, I may have had a rough relationship with her but others thought she was special so I should not be negative and only present good things. She suggested that the rest of her children (there were five of us) contribute a memory to present a complete picture of Mom. This is what happened, we focused on the good, the funny and the kind acts that she performed during her life. The speech was well received, and everyone was happy.
