Marketing has the potential to improve lives and strengthen societies. Today, marketing has become more than just what is good for the financial performance of companies. It is no longer detached from today's most important challenges in society.
Given the many challenges in society today, ranging from gun control to diversity and inclusion to climate change to the overturning of Roe vs Wade, among others, increasingly brands are choosing to express their brand point of view on a particular issue through brand communications and brand behaviors.

In this position paper, you will work independently and select a company/brand that has elected to outwardly associate and express themselves with a societal issue in their external communications and/or brand activations. You will share your point of view on why you feel the brand has chosen this issue. Consider the following questions as you form your position:

-Do you feel the issue is consistent with their brand purpose and values?
