Due to conditioned responses to food from different parts of our lives, it can be challenging to change our eating patterns. In addition, there is a lot of emotion tied to eating.

For this week's experiment, try eating a cracker, cookie, piece of pizza, etc. The item is not as important as only eating half of it. Leave the balance on your plate and reflect on it. How important is it for you to finish that item?

After several minutes, throw that item away. How do you feel about it? Are there emotions tied into that simple act? Do you feel guilty about throwing food away? What are different ways to remove that feeling, especially if you genuinely feel full? How have you changed how you were raised with food with your family or yourself today?
