Do you see this same mindset in those who participate in organized crime, knowing that although smaller in number, certain individuals are targeted for assassination simply for belonging to another family or refusing to cooperate with extortion? Do you believe that our current theoretical explanations for white-collar and organized crime are effective? And as we wrap up learning about criminological theories, overall, do you believe criminological theories are effective in explaining crimes and offenders or do we still have much to learn about people and why they are willing to commit crime?
