With a society saturated with social media communication, do you believe the relative anonymity of the internet (even when our names are attached to our avatars and accounts it still may not feel real), has caused us to behave in negative ways we may not have if the internet did not exist? For example, are we all a little ruder to strangers or meaner to customer service agents because we are faceless? Does this extend to our face to face behavior? For example, because we have become used to sarcasm and overly descriptive language in email complaints and customer reviews, are we more likely to display rude behavior towards the counter employee when we return something broken at Target?
