Assignment : Tourism Marketing Analysis

Detail : As marketing expands well beyond its traditional boundaries, a growing number of cities and states are actively promoting themselves. Think of examples that you've encountered. Now use the Internet to research marketing efforts in your own city or state. (If your city/state doesn't actively market itself, research another city or state in your region that does.)

Write a two-page paper that addresses the following questions:

• Who are their target customers? For example, are they: businesspeople or tourists; locals or travelers from afar?

• What benefits do they tout? Do you believe that your city/state delivers on its marketing promises? Why or why not?

• Include a copy of the promotional material in your paper or a URL that links to the material.

Format your paper using the West Writing Style Handbook guidelines.

Include a minimum of two sources, which may consist of readings from the University Library, your text, and other selections.
