Question 1. Blake mentioned a thing called the "Turing Test." The test was invented by early computer scientist Alan Turing in the 1950s to determine whether a computer could think like a human being. The test is simple. Set up an apparatus where a human being blindly questions a computer and another person. If the questioner cannot tell the difference between the computer and the human being after the test is run a specified number of times, with certain time lengths, and with other constraints, etc., then the computer is said to have 'passed the Turing test' and it is intelligent. Even if the computer 'fools' the questioner, this is a 'pass.' The question for us is not whether this is a good test or not. But it's this. Do we ever really know someone? That is, are we not always performing 'Turing tests' all the time, with everyone we meet, or know
