You are the police chief of Seattle, WA. Recently there has been civil unrest, and there are multiple locations where organized protests are expected to take place. On the map provided., you will notice two orange stars in a map marker in Seattle (links to the markers are in the left navigation) indicating where the protests are expected to occur. The Seattle Mayor's office anticipates between one to two thousand people will be present at each of these locations. There is also intel that both groups of protestors will march to Interstate 5 to block both sides. The routes are also indicated on the map.

The mayor would like a five to seven-page report containing the following information and outlining what the police department will be doing to ensure the following:

  • There is no (or minimal) destruction of property.
  • There will be no (or minimal) physical injuries to all parties involved.
  • The number of officers being deployed at each protest site.
  • What streets will be blocked off and your reasoning behind this decision
  • What the department's reaction plan is should one, or both, of the protests evolve to a full-scale riot. If the groups attempt to converge on the interstate?
  • Do we call in State Police, Mobile Field Force/Riot Control, or other agencies?

Clearly label each of the areas in your report and submit the recommendations to your instructor.
