PART A
Our three-year-old, Gabriel, is a very bright, funny, charming little guy, but he has a lot of tantrums. He will get very aggressive physically: hitting, and biting. He will sometimes have very intense tantrums that can last over 5 minutes. When he is happy, he is the most delightful child. But the second something doesn't happen exactly how or when he wants it, he is explosive. Gabriel reacts very poorly to consequences. We are constantly using spanking or trying to negotiate with Gabriel.
Gabriel is also very sensitive. He doesn't like loud noises or going to places with crowds. Gabriel is also sensitive to the feel of clothing. He complains loudly about lumps in socks and scratchy tags. We tell him that he is too sensitive and need to get dressed and stop complaining. Gabriel does not adapt well to change. When we tell him it is time to leave from the park, he screams and tries to run away from us. He is also irregular in his sleeping schedule. Since we never know when Gabriel will be tired and he protests going to bed, we let him stay up until he fall asleep and then put him in bed. We are totally exhausted. Please help!
Describe Gabriel's temperament.
Do the parents display a goodness of fit strategy for Gabriel's temperament? What strategies would you recommend for Gabriel's parents to ease the situation?

learned about physical activity and changes that happen as we age. Please include a minimum of three references when addressing the questions below:

2) Why do you think muscle-strengthening physical activity levels decline as we age?

4) What prevents and enables older adults to meet the muscle-strengthening physical activity recommendations?
5) Compare and contrast your answers from the previous questions.
6) What beginning-level physical activity exercises would you recommend to older adults if they are interested in being active.
7) What beginning-level muscle-strengthening physical activity exercises would you recommend to older adults if they are interested in being active?

PART E
The ICD-10 is the International Classification of Diseases-10th edition and Caregiver Stress was recently added. If you have ever received a doctors or hospital bill that had a code on it for your services it was likely an ICD 10 or DRG code. Please take a look at the code from a standpoint that you are the physician and a caregiver has presented in your office for what could be a variety of reasons but he/she is the primary care taker.
1) Have you ever babysat, taken care of a sick family member for a few days, or had to ask someone to help take care of you while ill? How did it feel t take care of another person or have someone take care of you short term? You now that there is an end in sight if you are relatively healthy.
2) Now, imagine that you are a continued care giver of a family member that is terminally sick and will need your help indefinitely. You are a student and all of your current daily duties must be attended to (your life can't stop because you need to work); but your family cannot afford to pay for in-home care. How would this make you feel and what types of adjustments would you have to make?
3) In this situation you feel a tremendous sense of guilt because the individual needing care was once very active in your life and you owe it to them or so others think you do..... how would you react and cope under these circumstances?
4) For many of us we have an evacuation plan if our home catches on fire or another plan of action should we be without power. How might you plan for a medical emergency and have an action plan in place with regards to staffing the ill person?
