Literature Review Article Critique 1:

Please answer each question. The number of points after each question is the total points for answering the question completely and correctly. Total = 100 points.

Q1. Do the authors initially choose a variety of articles that relate to the subject? Describe why you think so. (They may find articles that loosely relate to the topic.)

Q2. Is the topic relevant to practitioners and clients? Describe why you think so.

Q3. Is a specific research question, hypothesis, or/and research goals clearly stated? If so, describe their research question, hypothesis, or/and research goals.

Q4. Do the authors report all of the search terms that were used to locate studies report?
If so, describe all of the search terms that the authors used. (For example, these may be batterers programs, spouse abuse treatment, effectiveness studies, group comparisons etc.)

Q5. In the article, are the time period (time intervals of the studies searched) included? If so, describe the time period of the studies searched. (For example, "the authors searched the databases for all articles from 2010 to 2020".)

Q6. In the article, are all sources for studies searched listed? Have the authors listed all of the search engines and data bases? If so, describe all of the search engines and data bases which the authors described.

Q7. Describe the author's criteria for excluding/including individual studies. This usually applies to the methodology, design of the study, sample size, types of sample, or types of statistical methods. (For example, "only studies that had samples larger than 20 were included"; OR "only studies that used random assignment with a control group were used".
