Consumer behaviorists spend a good amount of time and effort to better understand what drives decision-making. Marketers spend billions of dollars to understand the behaviors that are associated with what, when and how people consume products, services and even entertainment. Do movies mimic real life?

Can we learn about consumer behavior from movies? The answers to these questions are, yes. Movies illustrate a wide variety of basic consumer behavior principles. Your task is to select a movie for analysis. It is suggested that students select a movie that is anchored in what resembles real life. Students are to demonstrate acquired knowledge of one specific determinant of consumer behavior.
