Question: Do an Act Utilitarian calculation. Consider these (fictional) circumstances: Dr. Myrek has been performing experiments on animals and is on the brink of fulfilling his goal of discovering a method for healing spinal cord injuries in humans. The only problem is that he has not been able to find healthy human patients willing to volunteer and upon whom he can perform these experiments. He is considering secretly kidnapping five homeless men off of the streets and performing these painful, deadly, experimental surgeries upon them in order to find a cure for spinal cord injuries.

Show that you know how to think like an ACT utilitarian by listing three things (in 200+ words): 1) list some of the possible good consequences that could come from these experiments, and 2), list some of the possible bad consequences and risks involved. Finally, 3) in light of these two lists explain which is the 'right' action according to the reasoning of an Act Utilitarian.
