Project: Large-Scale PV Design
Goal: Do a load analysis for a PV system in the 250-500kW size range and come up with a grid tied PV system that would offset the customer's current average hydro bill for energy consumption using a net-metering setup (taking into account time of day).
Key Elements:
1) Load analysis/projection of energy consumed (with recommendations of where conservation could take place in the existing profile)
2) Detailed system schematic (including wire diagram) to be drawn in AutoCAD
3) Roof Layout of solar array (including string configuration, inter-row spacing, etc).
4) Insolation calculations for each roof section where modules will be installed
5) Estimated cost, taking into account modules, components, wiring, conduit, runways, labour, and any other elements that are necessary or you have chosen to incorporate
6) PDF spec sheets (from manufacturer) for all components used (modules, inverters, etc).
7) Conclusion of feasibility and recommendations based on energy consumption and expected inflation of energy cost over the next 20 years.
