Assignment:

I want you to watch a video clip from the Chinese movie The Day the Sun Turned Cold (Tian guo ni zi) (from minute 13:20 to minute 22:34). Start watching where you see the ice blocks like on the left here. The movie is set in rural China and it's about a family where the father is a school principal and the mother makes tofu (or dofu) at home to sell in the local market. They have several children. The video clip is about 10 minutes long but in those 10 minutes there is lots of content related to Chinese culture. Make 5 observations that you recognize as Chinese culture and to maximize your grade please try to explain them if you can.
