A species of tree has a very large genome consisting of 2.0x10^10 base pairs of DNA per diploid genome. Assume that each diploid cell contains 10 chromosomes of similar length.

a. assume that this tree's DNA polymerases can synthesize 2x10^4bp/minute and th origins of replication are evenly spaced on each chromosome. If an actively growing cell can complete the S phase of the cell cycle in 300 minutes, how many origins of replication are present on one chromosome?

b. what is the average distance in bp between origins of replication on a chromosome in this species?
