Q's ARE BASED ON THE BELOW DATA, in which participants were selected based on the following criteria: being female, in a relationship, and having reported being with more than 1 sexual partner in the past year, and 1 or more one time only partners. It was reasoned that such individuals might be especially prone to depression considering the selection criteria. A total of 14 participants fit this criteria and their corresponding self-reported depression scores (which could vary anywhere from 0 to 60) and dispositional authenticity scores (which could vary anywhere from 1 to 5). Assume that both depression and dispositional authenticity tend to be normally distributed.

ZAUTHENTICITY
1. Which participant(s) could justifiably be considered as an outlier(s) based on either their depression or their authenticity z-scores?
2. What is participant #6's z-score for the variable depression?
3. The value of the mean for the distribution of depression z-scores is ______ the standard deviation for the authenticity z-scores.
4. When considering participant #1's corresponding z-score values for depression and authenticity which statement below is TRUE?
a. His/her depression score is closer to the group's average than is his/her authenticity score.
b. His/her depression score was in the 15th percentile.
c. He/she was relatively lower on depression and higher on authenticity than were most other people
d. all of the prior responses are true
e. none of the prior responses are true
For questions #5 - 6 assume that the distribution of depression and authenticity raw scores are normally distributed. Thus, use the z-table information to determine the appropriate percentile/percentage for the question.
5 Which percentile most accurately corresponds to a depression raw score of 21? (i.e., if Kanye had a depression raw score of 21, what percentage of depression scores would fall at or below his?)
6. Janine had a depression raw score of 3. What percentage of people would be considered more depressed than Janine was?
