Question: Great job on your discussion post regarding best security practices for individuals and the effects of the internet and social media on privacy. Due to being security professionals we often overlook the security benefits our employees/users have while working for an organization. This includes not having to worry too much about malicious sites or viruses due to web filters and Anti-Virus software. These can be seen as luxuries compared to the security of at-home devices. Taking what steps are possible for the average user is important. I agree strong passwords for different applications are a great starting point, but I would go one step further and suggest that the credentials be a strong passPhrase that includes a variety of words, too much it much harder for a brute force attack to compromise the account. Many persons do not enable MFA on personal accounts so having as strong a passphrase as possible is important.
