Question: You must ensure that your research for the assessment is current and sources cited are relevant. This has been a significant issue this trimester and needs to be addressed.
At this level of study, you should not reference material that is more than 5 years old when discussing current issues. Even then, articles
written in 2018 do not consider the impact of COVID19, which has most definitely changed the world.
An article that is almost 20 years old (a number of which appeared in assessment 2) is totally unacceptable. Since such an article was
published, the Australian population has changed significantly (in both size and demographic makeup), technology is so different it is virtually unrecognisable now, the world has gone through a global financial crisis and we have just come out of a pandemic.
Please read widely and draw on current material to support your analysis. (And avoid citing news outlets... That's just lazy). You are all incredibly smart, well-educated and engaging students with amazing backgrounds and experiences. Make sure these shine through in your report. Best of luck, both now and in the future! It has been a pleasure working with you through MBA621.
Just one week until Assessment 3 is due (Tuesday October 10th). Below is a nice outline that one of my colleagues has suggested (Thank you Julie), and I thought it would be worthwhile sharing with everyone. As always, be sure to follow the brief so that you know how you will be marked.
