The focus is to provide a critical discussion of a particular Negotiation issue.
The issue should be viewed and discussed from the perspective of alternative points of view. The subject of the paper is to be determined by your own interests. A critical in-depth analysis is fundamental to the effectiveness of the thought paper. A minimum of 10 pages.
Your examination of the issues relating to your subject choice must:
1. Identify the Parties involved (non-union/union/management/special interest group/political/international.)
2. Define the scale and scope of the issue to be discussed. Include analysis from the individual employee, management, workplace, local or global social, regulatory, and other stakeholder considerations.
3. Describe the relevant issue(s) to be discussed including the international political, regulatory, contractual, public opinion, environmental, or economic considerations that may apply.
4. Examine the tactics/strategy that has been used by the parties involved.
5. Explain the outcome of the issue(s) (if applicable).
6. Examine critically any outside influences affecting the issue. Review the public opinion, media concerns, stockholder equity issues, and customer perspectives regarding the issue.
7. Identify the negotiations from an ethical viewpoint (fairness, justice, etc.)
8. Discuss the success or failure of the resolution of the issues.
9. Propose your plan for addressing the issues, taking into consideration government regulation, stockholders, customers, employees, and management team.
