At the moment, the resolution is unclear. This doesn't mean that their won't be a resolution. Addtionally, the possible alternatives may be different than the actual resolution. Take a look at Snowden's status. After all the publicity, does he believe he is the ethical party. Look at his surroundings, what is Russia's position? Can you use traditional theories to explain their position. Of course, this is your perception. I believe if you outline a few hypothetical questions, use the traditional theories to help guide your response.
