Abraham Joshua Heschel had very specific ideas about what it means to be a prophet, and this question asks you to use his ideas to shape your essay. Specifically, you must spend your first paragraph discussing Heschel's definition of a prophet (in his reading, not my lecture, as I want you to focus on close reading) and the ways in which he understood prophecy as relevant to the Civil Rights movement.
