Assignment - This session you will be digging deeper into your new product or service and discussing capacity utilization, inventory management and scheduling:

This session you will be required to write the following sections (depending on the product or service selected, you may have more or less information in each of these areas, but you should touch on all areas regardless):

Capacity Utilization -

A. Production Manufacturing Rates - Discuss how you will determine the manufacturing rates of your product.

B. Scheduling and Capacity Utilization Analysis - Describe how scheduling for your NPD/NSD will take place and discuss capacity utilization in detail.

C. MRP and ERP use - Will you be using any form of MRP/ERP? Does the organization use MRP/ERP and how will the operations for the NPD/NSD integrate to it? If not, describe how MRP/ERP could help improve the operation.

D. Inventory Management - Discuss, in detail, how inventory management will occur in this new operation.
