Comprehensive Health Education and Emergency Preparedness Plan
Description: For the final project, students will combine skills and knowledge gained from the course and previous assignments to create a comprehensive health education and emergency preparedness plan for a hypothetical educational setting preschool 3 - 4 years old children. This plan must include:
A detailed first aid and CPR preparation plan: Outlines protocols for different emergency situations, including lists of equipment and resources, emergency contacts, and step-by-step action plans adapted to the age group being taught.
A one-year health education curriculum: This should focus on teaching young children about healthy living, personal well-being and safety. The curriculum should include objectives, lesson plans, materials, and assessment methods.
Implementation Strategies: Discusses strategies to train staff, engage parents, and integrate these practices into the daily routine of the educational environment.
Evaluation and Improvement Plans: Provides methods for evaluating the effectiveness of the health education curriculum and emergency preparedness plan, along with strategies for continuous improvement based on feedback and evolving best practices.
Objective: The capstone project aims to encapsulate the learning objectives of the course by requiring students to apply their knowledge and skills to create a practical and workable plan that promotes health and safety in an educational setting.
