Watch the movie Mrs. Doubtfire, which is widely available on many streaming apps, as well as various other cable channels (HBO, Movie Channel, and may also be available for rent through Redbox for a nominal rental fee). While watching the film, take note of the various topics covered in this course and write a comprehensive essay as follows: Locate at least four topics that are shown in the movie that are also covered in this course. (An obvious topic is divorce.) Some topics are not as blatant as others and may be only casually covered in the film. (Hint-Perhaps something in Unit 3, 4 and 7 just to name a few?

Actually, there are topics in every Unit through unit 7 so be on the look out!). Once you locate these topics, movie summary which must include the definition/explanation of each topic using the textbook definition as you incorporate the facts from the movie in introducing each topic. For example, in explaining the topic of divorce, define it, then go on to discuss why Miranda filed for divorce against Daniel.

You should discuss the different types of divorce and which was used in this case. You might describe the process and how the process was carried out in the movie. Was it the same process as you learned in the course? Does it matter where the story took place and when? If it does, why? Be comprehensive for each topic and don't forget to relate them to the movie. You can be creative and include statistics, compare states.
