These tools can help to make the system run smoother, improve system reliability and performance, and secure the system against possible problems. 

Most operating systems have a range of built-in tools that are used to enhance or test the performance of the system. Some are installed by the installation process, while others may come as secondary programs on the installation CD and can be added when needed. There are also a range of third party tools that can be sourced from various vendors or downloaded over the Internet. These optimisation tools, with similar functions, are available in most operating systems. They may simply be labelled different names.

However, if you haven’t, you can still use the tools that are available on your own computer for whatever operating system you are using.
